   well, they write what they know. and a lot of the time, it’s helps them feel better to get it out in song. yeah, when they sing it,they are reminded of it, but they are also reminded of getting past it and that can be a very good feeling

   one of the blowiest things i’ve found being an artist, is that my best work comes from pain and heartache. whether i’m writing, sculpting, designing or playing an instrument it always comes out best with a horrible weight on my chest. it’s one of the truest emotions a human can have and it shows in his/her art. following my own heartbreaking news this weekend, i found i am a damn good blues singer.
   sad you sometimes have to tap the sad bone to get something so good, eh?

   Sad situations lead to singers writing sad songs. They must feel that singing those types of songs lead them to overcome the bad and turn it into art and into something others will be able to say,”I’ve been there.”
